Submitting a copyright removal request is a legal process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a>Prepare a copyright removal request<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you submit a copyright removal request, you need to consider the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Copyright exceptions<\/strong>: Consider whether&nbsp;fair use, fair dealing, or a similar copyright exception&nbsp;applies. We may ask you to confirm you\u2019ve made this consideration. The content identified in your removal request won\u2019t be removed if you don\u2019t adequately respond or if a copyright exception applies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Personal info<\/strong>: Make sure you understand how your contact information is used&nbsp;once you submit a copyright removal request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keep in mind that the copyright owner, or an agent authorized to act on the owner\u2019s behalf, should submit the removal request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scheduled removal requests<\/strong>: Consider&nbsp;scheduling your removal request&nbsp;to take effect in&nbsp;<strong>7 days<\/strong>. This gives the uploader 7 days to delete the content to avoid a&nbsp;copyright strike&nbsp;on their channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a>Submit a copyright removal request<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fastest and simplest way to submit a copyright removal request is to fill out contact us via email. It may take up to 90 days to process any request upon receipt. We accept copyright removal requests by\u00a0email (copyright@phatblack.com), fax (1-877-732-3492) and mail (29 Buffalo Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11233).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do not make false claims.
